Two travelling libraries will circulate through Nanaimo’s businesses community beginning this month.
The boxes, complete with artwork commissed by a Coast Salish Artist will contain aboriginal literature and will be available to businesses to put in their lobbies or break rooms for staff and clients.
Tara Plett says the Toolbox for Change is the result of an assignment her group took on for the Vancouver Island Leadership Program and she hopes the travelling library idea catches on…..
She says the project is intended to get information about indigenous culture into people’s hands in a unique and relaxed way.
