The District of Sechelt will be giving the B.C. government some feedback on what kind of impacts services such as Airbnb and Uber have on the community.
Councilor Darnelda Siegers, who is also a mortgage broker, feels there’s no time better than now, to talk about short term rentals.
She says many homeowners are choosing to rent out short term, instead of committing to long term rentals.
She says it’s a difficult subject to tackle because The Sunshine Coast Regional District doesn’t have rules on short term rentals, but the District of Sechelt does.
