The Deputy Chief of the BC Conservation Officer Service says bears are emerging from their dens throughout the province.

Doyle was providing from the Conservation Officer Service.
He says officers have already been out on the lakes ensuring anglers have fishing licenses and recently in Lake Cowichan there was 80 per cent non compliance rate with the angling rules.
Some of the issues were angling without a licence, barbed hooks and multiple rods in the water.
