Tax hike for Gibsons residents

The Town of Gibsons has finalized the tax rate for 2016.
There will be a general property tax increase of 3 and a half per cent.
Mayor Wayne Rowe says it breaks down to one and a half per cent to cover the cost of living, one and a half for asset management and half a per cent to fund a new regional economic development organization.
