It seems officials are just shuffling deteriorating vessels around the Vancouver Coast.
According to Sheila Malcomson, the MP for Nanaimo Ladysmith derelict vessels from other communities are coming her way…
Further, she says 4 years ago the Viki Lyne 2 was towed into the Ladysmith harbour…
She says the NDP have requested action on the file….
Malcolmson says, at the very least, an emergency response could be set up to deal with the risks they pose on a ship-by-ship, case-by-case basis.
