District of Sechelt property told to clean up

6290 Sechelt Inlet Road’s owner is being ordered to clean up their property and make it safe again.

Greg Horning, District of Sechelt bylaw enforcement officer says the property has a variety of random objects laying around it and it’s a public hazard.

And a solution to the problem has been long overdue.

He says others have been contributing to the problem as they’ve been using the property as a public dump.

The property owner will have 21 days to clean up the property and make it safe. After 21 days, the District of Sechelt will step in and the property owner would then pay the cleanup bills.
