Local Sunshine Coaster, Heather Conn is organizing a film screening Friday.
They’ll be showing ‘Salam Neighbor’, a documentary about Syrian refugees in Jordan’s largest refugee camp, near the Syrian boarder.
Conn says it’ll be important to help people understand the current issue at hand.
The event is being hosted at the St. Hilda’s Church in Sechelt. Doors open at 7 and admission is by donation.
And donation goes towards the local groups on the Sunshine Coast who are working to bring Syrian Refugees to here.
