There’s a pool of 50 thousand dollars available for economic development in the Regional District of Nanaimo.
Chris Midgley, manager of Energy and Sustainability with the District says the money not available to private businesses, rather, it is for business groups and community associations.
He says there are a number of priority areas for the funding including employment and skills training, arts, culture and media, agriculture and aquaculture, forestry and fisheries, renewable energy, high tech and tourism.
