The District of Sechelt recently hired Urban Systems to do a study on their Water Resource Centre.
They wanted to see how much it would cost to expand the centre, if District of Sechelt’s population starts to rise drastically.
The study suggested the expansion was necessary, if the population grew by 5000.
Councilor Darnelda Sieger says, it’s not likely that’ll happen soon, but you do have to prepare for anything.
The $24.9 million project would require another nearly $23 million for these expansions.
