The City of Nanaimo flipped the switch on a 72 million dollar water treatment plant in early December.
Thursday morning the public is invited to come out to the 35 thousand square foot facility for a tour.
Bill Sims, the city’s manager of Water Resources says the facility was really, a necessity….
He says pathogens and bacteria are being filtered out of the water system and should prevent future boil water orders.
