A new vessel is on the way for the Search and Rescue crew in Gibsons.
Neil Ripley, the Search and Rescue station leader there says they hope to have it by the end of April.
The Gibsons Marine Rescue Society has helped with the fundraising, but Ripley says it’s not just a vessel that they need.
Ripley points out, the community support has been tremendous.  And he hopes that trend continues, because everyone benefit from their organization.
Last year, their volunteers responded to 36 search and rescue missions.
