One man from Vancouver Island has been charged and three others are suspects in a group sexual assault of a woman in Denver last November.
30 year old Colby James Messer was arrested in Las Vegas earlier this month and faces six charges of sexual assault.
Denver police say it’s alleged Messer and his three friends,  two men from Victoria and two from Port Alberni, were in the city for a Denver Broncos game, when Messer met a 27-year-old woman and brought her back to the hotel room he was sharing with his friends.
It was there she was allegedly sexually assaulted multiple times.
Denver Police were able to identify Messer and the three other suspects through hotel surveillance footage and DNA testing.
Messer was in Las Vegas, where he planned to propose to his girlfriend, when he was arrested on March 4th.
