Nanaimo Cowichan MP Jean Crowder says the changes coming to Canada Post are going to have a wide impact.
The NDP’s Crowder was part of a town hall this week; one of several being organized by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.
Crowder says as well as concerns about the end of door-to-door delivery, especially from seniors and the disabled, they heard charities and business are worried about the increased price of stamps. She says there were also a lot of stories about how mail carriers work as “eyes and ears on the streets” of the neighbourhoods they serve.
