The Manager of Water Resources with the City of Nanaimo is breathing easier.
That’s because, Bill Sims says there’s been a decent rainfall this winter and there’s some snow in the mountains that wasn’t there last year……
In the meantime, the City of Nanaimo has coordinated its water restriction definitions with other water service providers within the Regional District of Nanaimo.
Following 2015’s drought and elevated levels of watering restrictions in many parts of the region, including Nanaimo, it became apparent that differing definitions of watering restrictions created confusion when communicating with the public.
