There was a packed house with standing room only at the Gibsons’ Heritage Playhouse where people were asked where they stood on the federal government’s review of the proposed LNG plant near Squamish.
West Vancouver Sunshine Coast Sea to Sky Country Liberal MP Pam Goldsmith-Jones was in attendance.
Peter McCartney, climate campaigner for the Wilderness Committee says there are major concerns when it comes to LNG projects.
While most at the public meeting were opposed to the LNG plan, Goldsmith-Jones says she’s heard positive comments as well, mostly from those who believe there will be a positive economic spin off.
