The Sunshine Coast Regional District is heading into the second round of budget debates this week.
Around 500 thousand dollars in spending was added to the budget in round oneĀ for things like transit, parks and rec, water andĀ the Gibsons Fire Department.
The overall tax increase sits at 5.2 per cent, with decisions still to come on curbside recycling for Areas B and D, improvements at the Gibsons pool, and dealing with landfill revenue shortfalls.

The Regional District of Nanaimo will vote on its budget next week, with an overall tax increase expected to come in at around 5.2 per cent.
