Nanaimo police chase

RCMP have 4 suspects in custody following an incident in Nanaimo and the surrounding region.
It all started just after midnight on Monday when police were called to a report of a man bleeding and screaming for help in the parking lot of the TD Bank on Nicol Street.
The victim told police he had arranged to purchase some car parts at a rural roadside location but when the expected vehicle arrived, two men got out and beat him.
Police say the suspects took the victim at gunpoint to town in his own car followed by the black jeep wranger that the pair had pulled up in, to withdraw money from his account.
Upon arriving at the bank, an armoured car was there with armed guards to service the ATM.
The victim managed to escape and ran towards the guards.
About 4 and a half hours later police spotted the suspects and pursued the vehicle through the streets of Nanaimo, ending up in a driveway in Lantzville where after a foot chase two men and two women were arrested.
A pellet handgun was located in possession of one of the suspects.
The Jeep Wrangler was later reported as stolen overnight by the owner.
