Coco Cafe up for Best Community Impact Award

Nanaimo’s Coco Cafe has made the top five for a Small Business BC Award, in the Best Community Impact Category.

General Manager Melanie Cadden says they’re thrilled to be recognized for the work they’re doing.

Cadden says they have 32 people on their team right now, including 13 with developmental disabilities, and they’ll be hiring more people in the next few months as they expand their hours.

The Cowichan Women Against Violence Society is also up for Best Community Impact.
The Small Business BC Awards will be handed out February 25th in Vancouver.
