Community partners in Nanaimo are pulling together to host a public forum on Thursday about the dramatic rise in drug overdoses.
There has been a 350 per cent increase in drug overdoses linked to fentanyl since mid-December.
Medical Health Officer Dr. Paul Hasselback says a number of representatives from VIU, Island Health and the RCMP will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
The forum at Vancouver Island University’s Nanaimo campus is happening on Thursday at 7:00pm in Building 355, Room 203.
