More NDP shots at Libs on BC Ferries as first week back in Victoria ends

Week 1 of the new session at the Legislature wrapped up without any Question Period fireworks over BC Ferries cuts.

But NDP MLAs are still getting their digs in; during the Throne Speech debate.

Nanaimo MLA Leonard Krog had his turn Thursday:

Nanaimo North Cowichan’s Doug Routley says the Liberals are ignoring the impact of fare increases and impending cuts, like the story of a Penelakut elder who was taken off a ferry by police when she couldn’t scrape together the fare to get home.

Service cuts are kicking in April 28th, and Ferries is looking for feedback on options for cuts, but the BC Ferry Coalition is urging people to keep speaking out against them.
