Ratepayers on Sunshine Coast get reprieve

It was looking like there was going to be a shortfall in the budget of the Sunshine Coast Regional District of about one hundred and 97 thousand dollars.
That was because of the loss of 50 million dollars worth of assessment from the Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Mill after the company closed a segment of its operations.
But Tina Perreault, the District’s treasurer says the new tax roll has been released and with two new projects on line the whole shortfall has been mitigated…..
The updated information will be presented to the Administrative Services Committee today (Fri).
