NRGH getting 2 new CT scanners

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital is getting a $3.6 million dollar Christmas gift – two new CT Scanners

Bob Brandt, Island Health’s Director of Medical Imaging, says the new machines will produce better quality images, with less radiation.

Brandt says it’ll take time to replace the two CT Scanners that NRGH is currently using.

Brandt says the new machines are being paid for through a partnership between the Nanaimo and District Hospital District, Nanaimo Hospital Foundation, Island Health and the province.
