There will be some extra buses running on the Sunshine Coast over the holidays.
SCRD Transit Manager Gordon Dykstra says they’re adding two buses on two of the busiest days.
Dykstra says the buses will wait until all the foot passengers are off the ferry.
On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, Sunshine Coast Transit will run like it’s a Sunday. There will be free service on New Year’s Eve after 7:00 p.m. For more details, check out the online schedule.
For transit users in the Regional District of Nanaimo, there will be no service on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day, and on New Year’s Eve, buses are free after 8:30pm. Find out more here.
