The President of the Capilano University Faculty Association spoke to Sechelt Council this week about the importance of access to education.
Brent Calvert says they’re on the cusp of launching a campaign called “Open the Doors”.
Calvert says it’s easy to see the impact of the decision on the university campus in Sechelt.
He says they’re looking for advocacy and support from local governments, to help lobby the provincial government for better funding. He says their campaign will kick into high gear in 2016.
