North Island MLA, and NDP Ferries critic Claire Trevena, is using her response to the Throne Speech to lash out at the government’s handling of BC Ferries.
She told the Legislature the Liberals are shutting down coastal communities and abandoning the vision of former premier W.A.C Bennett. and it’s going to hurt the whole province.
The next round of fare increases is due to hit ferry travellers April 1st, and sailing cuts come into effect April 28th.
