Ladysmith RCMP looking for armed robbery suspect

Ladysmith RCMP are looking for a man suspected of robbing the Co-op Gas Station at the Coronation Mall, at knife point.

Cpl. Tim Desaulniers says the gas bar was held up Tuesday, shortly before 9:00pm. “Unfortunately at the time there was heavy rain and there was very few people around the area, so there was no witnesses,” he adds.

The man rode off on a bike with an undisclosed amount of money. He’s described as a white, approximately 35 years old, 5′ 8” tall, 200 pounds, with a dark goatee.

He was wearing a faded black hoodie, blue jeans and black runners. He was also wearing a multi-colored Rastafarian knitted hat with fake dreadlocks.  RCMP think he was trying to disguise himself.

Anyone with information should call Ladysmith RCMP at 250-245-2215 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
