Nanaimo men found guilty in December 4th robberies

Two Nanaimo men charged after a pair of robberies led to a brief car chase are going to jail.

30 year old Harley Rae Jackson and 29 year old Raymond Richard Mansfield were found guilty last week in the December 4th robberies at Matheson’s Jewellers on Turner Road, and Central Drugs on Dufferin.

The pair were arrested after a car chase that ended at the E&N Trail off George Street.

No one was injured in the incidents.

Jackson has been sentenced to 12 months, for robbery and dangerous driving.  Mansfield will serve 16 months for robbery. He also faces a lifetime ban on having guns.
