Expect trail closures this week at Nanaimo’s Colliery Dam Park.
Crews are going to be drilling core samples at the Lower Colliery Dam. It’s part of the engineering work being done as the City and the Colliery Dams Technical Committee try to figure out a long-term plan for the dams.
Flaggers will be at the Park to direct people away from the work site. The drilling should be finished by February 14th, so long as the weather cooperates.
The Technical Committee, meanwhile, says it expects to have a progress report on the engineering studies by early March.
