A big crowd of Chatelech students took the streets of downtown Sechelt Friday afternoon, urging people to get out and vote on the 19th.
They gathered at Acacia Park, waving placards and dancing.
Fred Whibbs of the Alliance for Democracy worked with teachers to pull it all together. He says they wanted to get people who are eager to vote but can’t send a message to people who can vote, but aren’t eager.
Whibbs says although one branch of Alliance for Democracy has endorsed candidates, today’s event in Sechelt was meant to be strictly non-partisan.
