RCMP on the Sunshine Coast are looking for tips after a couple of acts of vandalism in Gibsons.
Last Thursday (Jan 30) somebody set a fire inside the men’s washroom at the Visitor Information Centre in the Landing. It happened sometime between 4 and 9 pm. A garbage can was filled with paper towell, then dragged into a toilet stall and set ablaze. Luckily there was no serious damage.
RCMP also say sometime overnight on January 28th, a vandal damaged several vehicles parked in the 1000 block of Gibsons Way. They used a sharp tool to scratch lines and crude pictures into the hoods.
Anyone with any information is urged to call the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
