Nanaimo RCMP recover iPad taken in theft from choir bus
Nanaimo RCMP say they’ve made some progress after someone broke into the bus of a touring choir made up of African children, orphaned by the HIV/Aids epidemic.
The Watoto Children’s choir lost cash and several iPads when the bus was broken into after their show at the Port Theatre Monday night.
RCMP reported Friday morning that one of the stolen iPads has been recovered in house “known to police”, but the investigation continues and RCMP are hoping anyone with information on the theft will get in touch with police or Crime Stoppers.
The choir is just starting a 6 month cross-Canada tour.
