Conservation Officers urging public to report cougar sightings

Conservation Officers on the Sunshine Coast are reminding people to call their 24 hour line to report cougar sightings.

Social media networks have been buzzing with talk of cougars seen in Gibsons and Roberts Creek, but CO Dean Miller says not all those reports are coming to them.

Miller says they are trying to keep tabs on a pair of cougars, who appear to be juveniles too old to stay with their family group.

Miller says right now they do not have any confirmed incidents involving attacts on pets or livestock.

The Conservation Service 24-hour line is 1-877-952-72-77 Or -1-877-952-RAPP
