Wildsafe BC says with more people on the Sunshine Coast producing their own food… there’s a growing interest in electric fencing as a way to prevent conflicts with wildlife.
Wildsafe has endorsed electric fencing for a long time, and this week they’re offering some help on using it effectively.
Kim Drescher is Wildsafe’s Sunshine Coast Coordinator.
She says while electric fencing has been a staple of rural life for decades, new technologies mean more options.
Wildsafe’s electric fencing workshop is Monday at 7pm at Frank West Hall on Chaster Road.
Drescher says they’d like people to register if possible, but walk-ups are OK too.
