The City of Nanaimo is looking close to home for its new fire chief.
Ron Lambert is retiring from the helm of Nanaimo Fire Rescue next month.
The City has announced Craig Richardson, the current Deputy Chief of Operations, will take over. He joined NFR in 2005 as an Assistant Chief, after getting his start with the Surrey Fire Department in 1990.
