Directors at the Sunshine Coast Regional District have voted to put zoning changes for medical marijuana growers on hold.
The SCRD was ready to go to public hearing next month on smaller lot size limits and other new regulations in Roberts Creek and Elphinstone.
The zoning would apply to people who want to set up shop under new federal rules.
But this week, the Directors voted to wait for a decision in a court case launched by people who want to keep growing their own under the old rules.
They say there’s no sense in creating new zoning, if the rules might change again.
