Nanaimo RCMP and BC Sheriff Services are investigating after a suspicious package was left at the courthouse at 35 Front St.
Segeant Sheryl Armstrong says the courthouse has been evacuated out of an abundance of caution.
Armstrong says the situation is unfolding and update will be provided once more is known.
She says no other business will be conducted at the courthouse today.
