An incident on Dakota Ridge last week has Sunshine Coast RCMP reminding people about safe firearms use.
RCMP say they had a 911 call from a tree planter, who reported being nearly hit by a stray bullet.
Police say he tried to get the attention of whoever was shooting… but couldn’t. So he just laid low until RCMP got there.
Constable Harrison Mohr says police never did find the source of the gunfire.
Mohr says people using areas where firearms use and hunting is legal also have a responsibility to be aware of their surroundings, and if they hear shots to stay well away.
