There’s a casting call this weekend for LGBT youth in Nanaimo who want to be part of a special dance project.
MachineNoisy is a dance company from Vancouver that’s going to be creating a spinoff version of one of their projects, called Proximity Remix.
Holly Bright with the Crimson Coast Dance Society says Artistic Directors Delia and Daelik Brett are looking for potential participants.
Bright says dance experience isn’t necessary, and it’s a great opportunity for young people to get involved in a creative endeavor.
The casting call is at the Vault Cafe from 4:00-6:00pm on Saturday and 12:00pm-2:00pm on Sunday.
There will be two weeks of rehearsals from June 29th to July 10th, and the show will be performed at the Port Theatre on July 11th and 12th.
