The birth of a baby in Powell River this week was a real team effort.
Powell River RCMP say a 911 call came in just before 10 Wednesday night. There was a woman screaming and a man yelling “We’re having a baby!”
At the same time, an officer on patrol was flagged down by a local doctor who said one of their patients was having a baby and might be in medical distress.
The doctor and the Mountie rushed to the couple’s home, where an ambulance crew and the Fire Department were already on scene, helping with the delivery.
Everything went well, and RCMP say the mother and the baby are doing fine.
