Nanaimo RCMP are looking for a man who robbed the 7-Eleven on Townsite Road.
Sergeant Sheryl Armstrong says it happened just before 3:30am on Friday.
Armstrong says RCMP contained the area and brought in a police dog to track the suspect but the trail went cold.
The clerk was treated at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and released.
The suspect is described as white man who was approximately 5’10”, with a skinny to medium build. He was wearing black pants, white shoes and a red jacket. He was also carrying a black bag.
