Cap-U strike continues, still no decision on final exams

Classes were cancelled again today at Capilano University as faculty continue their strike at the Sechelt, North Van and Squamish campuses, and university administration is expected to make a decision about final exams some time on the weekend.

Another round of talks between the University and the Faculty Association yesterday failed to get an agreement.

Cap-U says they’re hoping the Faculty Association will agree to suspend the strike for the final exam period, which is supposed to start Monday.

An update issued late Friday morning says, “The University is considering options related to final exams, and will make every effort to minimize the impact on students. T

he University will continue to keep students informed via CapU email. Information is also available through the Capilano University website and social media channels, including Twitter and Facebook.”
