Sunshine Coast RCMP say a Vancouver man is dead after apparently suffering a heart attack, or similar medical emergency, while riding his bike.
RCMP say the 68 year-old was an experienced cyclist riding with a group Thursday evening, along Highway 101.
When the group noticed he wasn’t with them, they went back and found him collapsed near Iska Road, north of Sechelt.
His friends, first responders, and an air ambulance advanced life support crew all tried to revive the man, without success.
His name has not been released, while RCMP contact next of kin.
RCMP say there’s nothing to suggest he was involved in a collision.
