Nanaimo RCMP say the man who jumped off the Queen of Oak Bay has died.
Witnesses saw the 45-year-old man climb over a railing and fall into the water on Monday evening near Bowen Island as the ferry was en route from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay.
He was pulled from the water by a BC Ferries rescue boat but died in hospital.
Nanaimo RCMP say the man’s name won’t be released and the BC Coroner’s Service is investigating.
