Tilray is voluntarily recalling three of its products after a lab test by Health Canada found elevated levels of bacteria in the marijuana.
Joshua Eades is the Chief Science Officer for the Nanaimo-based medical marijuana producer.
He says they’re asking clients not to smoke their Sativa House Blend, Hybrid House Blend or Indica House Blend.
He says they’re undergoing a rigorous review of all their sanitation procedures, and they’ve modified their operating procedures as a precaution.
Eades says the recall affects about 400 clients, and Tilray has been in touch with most of them since the recall.
This is the third medical marijuana recall in Canada in the past year. Another Nanaimo-based producer, Greenleaf Medicinals, recalled a batch of their Purple Kush last April.
