After suspending drop-in flu vaccination clinics because of a shortage of vaccine doses, Island Health says it’s expecting fresh shipments this week
But it’s still unclear if they’ll be getting enough to hold any more clinics through the public health units.

Hasselback says they’ll be looking a how to distribute the vaccine once they know how much is being shipped.
Although drop-in clinics at health units are on hold, Island Health says they do have vaccine on hand for those who’ve already booked an appointment at a health unit, and many pharmacies and doctors offices still have stock on hand.
Both Island Health and Vancouver Coastal Health are telling people to call ahead to check before going in for a shot.
