The Island’s only downhill ski resort isn’t giving up on winter.
Mount Washington is the latest victim of warm, wet weather. They shut down Monday as soon as the last family day skiers were done. Cypress Mountain on the North Shore is closing too.
But Mount Washington’s Don Sharpe says they’re hoping it’s only temporary.
They’re in a similar situation at the Sunshine Coast’s Dakota Ridge, where they had to shut down ahead of Family Day. They’re still hoping to see snow in time for the Sunshine Coast Loppet cross country event in early March.
