Spike in thefts from cars on Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast RCMP say they’re seeing another spike in thefts from parked vehicles.
Between February 5th and 7th, multiple cars in Sechelt were broken into on Louise Way, Ebbtide, Trail Avenue, Fairway Avenue, and Gale Avenue North. Several small items were taken.
Constable Harrison Mohr of Sunshine Coast RCMP they’re reminding people to “lock it and pocket the key” and take their valuable out of their cars. He says they’re also hoping people will take the time to report any suspicious behaviour in their neighbourhoods.
Mohr says investigators think this latest rash of vehicle break-ins was likely the work of the same person, or group of people. RCMP are asking anyone with information to call the detachment at 604-885-2266.
