Last night was the first time Nanaimo Councillors have met since their colleague Gord Fuller suffered a major heart attack. They were all sporting “We *heart* Gord” t-shirts in his absence.
Fuller’s brother Robert offered a brief update on how he’s doing.
Robert says it’s a major improvement, and the outpouring of support shows just how much the community cares.
Gord can’t have visitors yet, so Mayor Bill McKay asked Robert to pass along their best wishes.
An online fundraising campaign has been set up to help cover some of his costs while he recovers in hospital.
