RCMP Constable Gary O’Brien says they’ve received a record number of tips.
O’Brien says January is Crime Stoppers Month, which helps highlight the importance of the program. He says it’s the most important crime fighting tool RCMP have.
Nanaimo and District Crime Stoppers has given out $5000 in rewards over the last year for tips that led to arrests.
