BC’s Seniors’ Advocate is visiting Sechelt this week.
Isobel Mackenzie says since she was appointed last March she’s been trying to get out to different parts of the province to hear directly from seniors.
And Mackenzie says she’s definitely been hearing that seniors in rural areas like the Sunshine Coast have different needs and concerns than older people in the Lower Mainland or Greater Victoria.
Mackenzie is hosting a town hall Tuesday, Jan 20 at 1pm at the Sechelt Indian Band Hall. She’s also planning a stop in Nanaimo. That’s coming up January 29th.
